Bears in the Night

After lots of discussion around our book 'Bears in the Night' Reception have been working hard using lots of prepositional language 'movement words'. We decided to bring our own Teddy Bears in and take them on a walk around school trying to use as much prepositional language as we could. Below are some pictures showing some of the things our bear's got up to.

Every week we go to our woodland area for Muddy Day, here we spend lots of time using our imagination and problem solving skills to explore the natural environment.

Our Exciting Provision Areas

This week we have been working really hard to recognise and write our names. We have been strengthening our 'pinchy fingers' so that we can hold a pencil carefully to form the letters in our name.

Welcome to Reception, we have had an excellent start to the school year.

 

A massive well done to our new starters who have fitted perfectly into school life!

We have been enjoying making music with our new Music Wall and dancing with ribbons in the sunshine.
