Escrick Primary School

Headteacher’s Welcome

Escrick Church of England Primary School is part of the South York Multi Academy Trust (SYMAT as of September 2020) and we cater for children between the ages of 4 and 11. We are situated at the heart of a strong community and our school brings families together from Escrick and many surrounding villages, placing children at the centre of everything we do.

At Escrick Primary School our aim is simple; to enable every child to FLOURISH in our school. Strong relationships and effective communication are fundamental to this and our pastoral support empowers our children to work effectively together and to be proud of themselves. We strive to create a welcoming, safe and happy place where all children, staff, parents and visitors are valued and respected. We encourage a sense of purpose and a positive approach to learning where everyone works together with commitment, enthusiasm and confidence. We aim to nurture academic, social, moral, and personal characteristics and skills in a caring and challenging environment so that all achieve their full potential. We endeavour to develop independent learners who are positive, seek new opportunities and are skilled to face a challenge and tackle new things.

September 2021 sees the launch of our new values which have been established following discussions with the whole school community. These values underpin our beliefs in how to achieve the highest academic success and a way of being that is inclusive and beneficial for all members of our school community.

At our school we want everyone to FLOURISH.
