Jemima going for glory

Yesterday, on Thursday the 23rd of March I participated in a cross-country competition at Dalby Forest. We had to run fairly long way. It was different to the year 3 one because there's was shorter.

You had to get a very good start because it became a line so you couldn't overtake. The route was different to last year. I overtook quite a few people on this part. Then there was a massive hill but I managed to climb it.

The day was very good and thank you to my mum and dad for taking me! I beat my score from last year and even my brother's PB!

Can We Auto-Correct Humanity?

For the last two weeks year 3/4 have been looking at performance poetry. There are some very talented young poets in year 3 and 4 and I hope they continue to work on it outside of English lessons. Take a look at the videos below and see how these poems are performed. They use things we have spoken about in class: speed and volume, tone and expression as well as some actions. The powerful vocabulary is something we have worked on so keep it up year 3 and 4.
