Whatever Next

Take a look at our amazing display of rockets the children have made for Baby Bear from the story Whatever Next.

Children in Need!

We had a great day in our pyjamas. The children did lots of spotty activities and learnt about Children in Need and the amazing work the charity does.

The children enjoyed a day learning all about Divali. They learnt about how Hindu families celebrate Divali in this country as well as around the world. We were very fortunate to be able to learn from a girl within the class, who shared some artefacts with us! We enjoyed creating rangoli patterns and writing Divali cards as well as many other exciting activities.

In Reception, the children are always exploring their environment and are learning all the time. Our classroom is filled with questions and challenges for us to explore.

We use a system called Tapestry to take photos and write notes about what the children get up to and record their learning.

You can login to this at home and see what your child has been up to at school.

Our First Week

We have had a wonderful first week in Reception and have begun to explore the classroom environment. It has been delightful to learn more about the children. They have all enjoyed sharing the contents of their 'All About Me' bag and talking about themselves.

Our topic this half term is 'Dinosaurs', this week we have been painting pictures of dinosaurs and listened to the story Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs as well as lots of other activities. We have also visited Woodlands and enjoyed playing with the natural resources and exploring this wonderful space.

Look at the fun we have had!
