On Friday 12th May, Year 5 held a talent show in aid of the charity toilettwinning.org. We enjoyed watching a range of performances, including dancing, singing, magic, football skills, one-handed Rubik's Cube solving and some fabulous gymnastics. We were particularly impressed by some of our youngest children performing solo to the school! Escrick has so much talent that there wasn't time for everyone that wanted to perform to have their chance on Friday, so we will be watching the last few acts on Thursday.
Well done to our Year 5s who organised the show - they have learnt a lot about planning and organisation from the experience! We raised just over £73 from entry fees and an after school collection in the playground, so thank you to everyone who took part and donated. The aim of our fundraising is to raise enough money to pay for a toilet block to be built at a school in a developing country. We are now only about £40 away from our target, and hope to raise the rest at our Cake Bake Sale on the last Friday of half-term.
More Talent Show photographs will be on display outside Maple Classroom soon.
