43 Helen Clark £30

45 Katie Pearson £20

9 Amy Westwood £10

6 Leila Winterbottom £5

Congratulations to Grace Harker, (year 1), who has won the 2022 Jubilee Mug Design Competition! The competition was a PTA fundraiser and was open to all school children and siblings of school or pre-school age. We had some incredible entries and it was very hard to make a decision. Chair of the Board of Govenors, John Wilson, with assistance from the PTA, finally selected Grace’s design as the winner, because it embodied the spirit of the Jubilee, showed imagination, skill and importantly, looks great on a mug! The winning mug will be presented to Grace and is also available to buy for £10 from the PTA, (please contact mail@tomholliday.com). All entries will be stored by Tom Holliday (PTA Treasurer) for a few weeks, so if you would like to have your competition entry back, please contact him at the same e-mail address.

PTA AGM minutes

Thank you letters. The children loved going to the Christmas panto this year. Year 1 have written some lovely letters to thank parents for raising funds through the PTA! They're very sweet. Here are a few examples

A big thank you to the PTA for our fantastic Christmas gifts! Year 4 are already loving the new books and games! ⭐️🎅🏼🎄☃️

A huge thank you to our PTA for our Christmas gifts! Year 5

After the AGM held on Thurs 21st Nov the Parents Teachers Association has a new team.  Firstly thanks so much to Jen Fenton, Gemma Daniel and Amanda Griffiths, along with all parents who have raised a lot of money for the school.

We have elected a new team of parents into the three roles as:

Emma Pickering as chair

Tom Holliday as Treasurer

Terry Tobin as Secretary.

Up coming PTA events include

  • Sale of Christmas trees (the deadline to submit the form is 22nd November)
  • School disco (letter attached)

Other ways to make money for the school without us spending money include:

  1. Easy fundraising.  Coming up to Christmas time, it’s a great opportunity to buy presents and raise money for our school at the same time. It is so easy to use, just follow this link https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/escrickcofepta/.  Feel free to ask Emma if you need more information.
  2. Matched fund raising.  Many of us work for companies which will match fund for our events.  Please get in touch if you are able & willing to do this.

What will the money be spent on?  The PTA want spending decisions to be led by the teachers and children, who are making a list of funding they need and funding they want.  Watch this space!

We would love to hear from you, please get in touch with any suggestions you may have on events you would like us to run or where you would like to see money spent.  Or join us at our next meeting, everyone is very welcome.
