At Escrick primary school we believe that every pupil has a right to receive a high-quality ambitious education regardless of need or disability. All children with Special Educational Needs must have their needs recognised and assessed, through a whole-school approach, with appropriate and timely intervention put in place through an assess, plan, do, review cycle.
We value each child and encourage them to achieve the best possible outcomes enabling them to be confident and successful as they continue their lifelong learning. We recognise the importance of good mental health for all our children and utilise strategies and support resources to develop this. Having close partnership with parents and external agencies helps children to learn and develop. We believe that it is vital that our pupils are equipped with the tools needed to become independent learners who will flourish both in and out of the classroom.
